Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This page explains which cookies are placed when you visit our website, what each one is for and how you stay in control of them.

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy describes how LUMEN PAYMENTS LIMITED ("Lumen Payments", "we", "us" or "our"), registration number BC1582665, uses cookies and similar technologies on lumenpayments.io (the "Website"). Any personal information collected through these technologies is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which should be read alongside this Policy.

2. What Cookies Are and Why We Use Them

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer, tablet or phone while you browse. Cookies let a website recognize your device when you return, remember the choices you have made and produce aggregated statistics about how the site is used. Comparable technologies, such as local storage, work in a similar way, and when this Policy refers to cookies it includes them.

We keep the number of cookies on the Website to a minimum. The table below lists every cookie that may be set.

CookieCategoryPurposeDuration
lumen.consentStrictly necessaryStores your cookie choice and the version of the cookie notice you responded to12 months
lumen.visitor-idStrictly necessaryRandom, anonymous identifier that links your choice to our consent record; set as httpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it12 months
_gaAnalytics (Google Analytics 4)Distinguishes visitors so that usage can be countedUp to 13 months
_ga_<ID>Analytics (Google Analytics 4)Keeps the state of a visit for the Website's analytics propertyUp to 13 months

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

The Website needs these cookies to work and to respect the choice you make in the cookie banner. lumen.consent remembers which categories you accepted or declined, and lumen.visitor-id connects that choice to the consent record kept on our server (which also stores your IP address, user-agent and the time of the choice, so that we can show which choice was made). Because the Website cannot record your preferences without them, these cookies are always active and cannot be turned off in the banner.

4. Performance and Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies tell us how visitors find and use the Website, for example which pages are viewed most, how long visits last and whether errors occur. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose and look only at aggregated statistics, which help us measure traffic and improve the content and performance of the Website.

The Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you allow analytics cookies in the banner. If you decline, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set.

5. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies would let the Website remember settings such as a language or region so that you do not need to choose them again. The cookie banner includes a functional category, but the Website does not currently set any functional cookies: it is published in English only and offers no language or region selector. If we add features that depend on functional cookies, we will update this Policy and ask for your consent where it is required.

6. Third-Party Cookies

The analytics cookies described in section 4 are set by Google as a third-party provider. We do not control how Google uses its cookies, and that use is governed by Google's own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to read. Third-party cookies are only allowed on the Website once you have consented to the relevant category.

On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can review or change your decision at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it. We ask for your choice again after 12 months, or sooner if the cookie notice changes.

Your browser settings also let you block cookies or delete those already stored, and each browser explains how in its help pages. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the Website will not be able to remember your cookie choice and may ask you again on each visit.

8. Changes to This Policy and Contact

We may revise this Cookie Policy when the technologies we use or the applicable law change. Every revision will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
